Easy Installation Guide

1. Fountain Unit Assembly

Assembling your Scott Aerator Atriarch fountain is quick and easy, typically taking only 15-20 minutes. Follow these simple steps:

Your kit includes:

  • Pump with cylindrical housing and attached power cord
  • Durable square float platform
  • Protective stainless steel filter
  • Decorative Atriarch nozzle
  • 5/16"x2" stainless steel bolts
  • Stainless steel nuts & washers
  • Self-tapping stainless steel screws

Tools Required: A wrench (or socket driver) and pliers.

Assembly Steps:

  1. Place the fountain housing on a stable surface with the pump discharge facing upwards.
  2. Attach nylon rope (not included) to the two stainless steel eyebolts on the housing for anchoring.
  3. Align the float over the housing and secure it using the provided two 5/16" x 2" bolts, washers, and nuts.
  4. Carefully flip the fountain over, remove the protective Styrofoam, and position the stainless steel filter over the pump intake. Ensure the filter's pre-drilled holes align with the marks on the housing. Secure the filter with the three self-tapping screws.

2. Optional Light Kit Installation

If you've purchased a light kit, follow these steps to easily attach it to your fountain float:

Tools Required: Wrench & Pliers.

*Important Note: The included timer/control unit is essential for light operation. Do NOT detach the cord from the control unit, as this will void the light warranty.

Installation Steps:

  1. Attach each arm assembly to the fountain float, ensuring the "L" bracket is facing upwards. Remove one of the 2" bolts securing the float to the fountain and align the holes with the stainless steel arm. Reinsert the bolt with washer through the housing, float, and arm. Secure with a washer and nut. Repeat for all arm assemblies.
  2. Attach each light fixture to the slotted end of the stainless steel arms. Insert a 1/2" x 1/4" bolt downwards through each light bracket and arm, then secure with a 1/4" nut. Lights can be easily adjusted by loosening the nut, sliding the light to the desired position, and re-tightening.
  3. Connect the lights to the Timer Control Unit by aligning the pins and screwing the connector together only a half turn. Avoid overtightening to prevent damage to the O-ring or wiring.

3. Fountain Deployment

Once assembled, carefully place your Atriarch fountain in the water for final positioning and anchoring:

  • Handle the fountain with care, avoiding resting its weight on the stainless steel filter.
  • Once the fountain head is submerged, attach the Atriarch nozzle by screwing it into place.
  • Float the fountain to your desired location in the pond or lake.
  • Secure the attached nylon ropes to the shore or use two submerged concrete blocks placed at least 20 feet apart for stable anchoring.
  • The final step is connecting the fountain and lights (if applicable) to your power source. ALWAYS use a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) for safety. Consult a licensed electrician for professional installation.
Selection Guide

Choosing the Right Horsepower

The horsepower of your Atriarch fountain directly impacts the size and intensity of the water spray. Higher horsepower models provide more significant water movement and a larger, more dramatic display.

  • Horsepower determines the size and flow rate of the fountain spray. Higher HP means more water movement and a larger/denser spray.
  • Selecting the right horsepower depends on your budget and the size of your pond. While personal preference plays a role, a helpful guideline is to maintain at least 10 feet between the edge of the spray and the pond's edge.

Choosing the Correct Voltage

Selecting the appropriate voltage is crucial for optimal performance and to avoid voltage drop over distance. If you are unsure, please contact us for assistance.

  • If unsure about voltage, please contact us for expert guidance.
  • If using 115V power at the pond's edge, be mindful of the maximum recommended distances from the pump to the breaker (including the power cord length) to prevent performance issues.
  • If using 230V at the pond's edge, distance is generally not a significant concern for voltage drop.
Motor Size Maximum Recommended Distance from Pump to Breaker on 115V
1/3 HP 115V 280'
1/2 HP 115V 250'
3/4 HP 115V 200'
1 HP 115V 150'
